The Clark County Library invites all interested citizens to an open interest meeting on the establishment of a Friends of the Library group. The purpose of this group will be to move forward the mission of the library, create library advocates, and to create an avenue for fundraising.
This meeting will be held on September 6th at 12:00 pm at the Arkadelphia library branch, which is located at 609 Caddo st.
Questions and inquiries about this meeting should be send to email@example.com
Both branches of the Clark County Library will be closed August 15-17th. During this time the Library will be switching to a new catalog system, to better serve you, our citizens! While our new software is being installed, our staff will be taking these three days to learn how to provide the highest quality of service with this new program. In addition, Library staff will be taking part in several professional development sessions provided to us by the Arkansas State Library. We hope that you will be patient with us and understand that we are doing our best to minimize loss of service while learning and improving our interactions with you.
Even though we will be closed for three days, all of our digital services (including Overdrive and OneClick Digital) will still be available for you to access from your computer, phone, and tablet.
The citizens of Clark County have access to a wide range of online databases through a program call the Traveler Project. This program is offered to public libraries in Arkansas, through a federal grant, by the Arkansas State Library.
The Traveler Databases have now been updated on our website and can be found by following this menu path: Library Services > Digital Services > Traveler Databases.
This exciting program allows library users to access a wide range of materials without having to be in the library itself. Examples of these resources include: news, scholarly articles, ebooks, educational games, and more.
Some of our favorite databases include:
Genealogy Database - HeritageQuest Online
Health Database - Health and Medical Collection
Literature - Children's Literature Comprehensive Database
Children - Early World of Learning
What will you learn today?
The Clark County Library System is proud to announce that we are now offering downloadable eAudiobooks and eMagazines! This new service is provided through RBdigital (eBooks will still be provided through Overdrive).
