On October 31st, the Friends of the Library hosted an open house and costume contest at the Arkadelphia branch of the Clark County Library. We were able to provide 5 volunteers, refreshments, and trick-or treat candy for the event.
Fundraiser: Costume Contest Voting
The Arkadelphia branch library is currently displaying photographs from the Halloween Costume Contest. Members of the public are encouraged to stop by the library and vote for their favorite by donating their spare change!
Advocacy: Increase Library Funding
Due to increased costs and stagnant funding, the Clark County Library has had significantly cut their budget. The Friends of the Library would like to see a voluntary tax passed to support the library and start a regular giving campaign.
Current Funding Goal: Fund the Annual Library Summer Reading Program
Due to budget cuts, the Library has had to cut programming funding from its 2018 budget. The Friends current goal is to raise enough money to pay for the program.
Fundraiser: Cupcake Sale
Daylynn's Bakery's annual baked goods pre-sell fundraiser. All proceeds are donated to the library.
Fundraiser: Spring Big Book Sale
The Friends of the Library organize and sponsor an annual book sale during the first week of May. This is the Friends' main fundraiser.
Fundraiser: Summer Back to School Book Sale
The Friends of the Library organize a children's books only sale at the end of the summer.
